Syytteet johtuvat Mikon facebook sivuillaan julkaisemistaan ”arkaluontoisista” tiedoista. Parantainen on julkaissut pidätettyjen ja tuomittujen seksuaalirikollisten nimiä ja kuvia. Normaalikäytäntö Suomessa on salata tiedot.
Syyttäjä vaatii myös parantaiselle tuntuvaa sakkorangaistusta ja ehdollista vankeutta. Parantainen on tuomittu jo vuonna 2015 maksamaan erinäköisiä oikeuden kuluja ja korvauksia paljastamilleen henkilöille noin 7000€. Mikko valitti tuomiostaan, mutta hovioikeus piti tuomion ennallaan. Parantainen odottaa valituslupaa korkeimpaan oikeuteen.
Puolustuksen kiistää Mikkoa vastaan nostetut uudet syytteet sillä varjolla, että Mikon julkaisemat tiedot, ovat useinmiten jo julkaistu netissä, josta mikko on ne koonnut yhteen.

Kirjainyhdistelmä Demla (ent. Suomen Demokraattiset Lakimiehet) on monille etäisesti tuttu. Se symboloi Suomen oikeuslaitoksen poliittista korruptiota. Demla on kommunistien vuonna 1954 perustama vasemmistolainen lakimiesyhdistys, joka Neuvostoliiton aikana piti tiiviisti yhteyttä idän ”edistyksellisiin” (so. kommunisteihin). Sen tavoitteena on ohjailla suomalaista oikeusjärjestelmää ja lainsäädäntöä oman poliittisen arvopohjansa mukaisesti. Sillä on kautta historiansa ollut huomattavasti valtaa maassamme, ja monet Demlan jäsenistä ovat kuuluneet presidenttiä (Halonen) ja pääministeriä (Jäätteenmäki) myöten korkeimpaan valtiojohtoomme.
